Gypsy

Regarded by many theater professionals as the greatest musical ever created, GYPSY is the ultimate tale of an ambitious stage mother fighting for her daughters’ success… while secretly yearning for her own. GYPSY is loosely based on the 1957 memoir of famous striptease artist Gypsy Rose Lee and is set all across America in the 1920’s as vaudeville was dying and burlesque was born. This story of the ultimate show business mother features a book by Arthur Laurents, music by Jule Styne, and lyrics by a young Stephen Sondheim.

Gypsy will be performed in The Carrboro ArtsCenter, October 10-12. Gypsy will be performed in the ArtsCenter in Carrboro from October 10-12, with shows at 7:30pm  each night and an additional 2:00pm matinee on Saturday. Doors will open 30 minutes prior to the start of the show for each performance and the venue has general admission seating. There is free parking available by the venue.

Ticket are $8 for students, $10 for non-students, and all tickets are $10 at the door.
